COUPONS

So, I had fun in September saving money with coupons. I think I did saving over $80 in one month. My conclusion, you really can save money with coupons, if you have the time and patience to look for them. For me, I will use coupons when I see them if it is something I am buying, (they have lot's of coupons at the commissary), I will shop sales and use rebates, but I won't be going out of my way to only use coupons and only buy if it is on sale. I do like to stock up on sale items, but I don't have the time or patience to find and use every last coupon out there.

Good Luck and Happy Saving Money!!

I was watching Oprah sometime this last week, and watched the Coupon Lady on it. She said it's not worth clipping of you spend more than 90 minutes a day clipping them. I also learned, I only clip coupons for things I use, not the new promotional items. I just saved $9.50 today-it's kinda fun to try to save $money$.

i was totally into the couponing thing for a while and had fun saving money, but i was spending WAY to much time clipping. maybe i can take your approach. . .just simplify a little bit but still save some money.

Girls! Don't clip!

Just keep the circulars in a file labeled by date. Just before you go shopping go to pinching your pennies,(or the grocery game, or coupon sense), and scroll through the deals for your zip code. Then pull out the coupons you will need. SO much easier!!

Happy coupon-ing!

ps I have just become aware that some stores do double or triple coupon days (meaning they double or triple the value of the coupon). You can do some research online to find out which stores in your area do this. Of course in my area no stores do this, so I'm out of luck. You could save some serious cash this way!
