SURPRISE!

Know that all the family has been told, at least I hope, we have some great news! In the words of my friend Cricket "WERE HAVING A BABY". I am very pregnant, 18 wks, to be exact. The last few months have been a wild ride, but we are getting eager for it to come to an end. Three more weeks til Nate comes home. We are due Sept. 1, and have a ultrasound scheduled in two weeks. My blood pressure has been really up and down, which has freaked out my OB, but a trip to the Maternal-Fetal specialist in Portland put my nerves at ease. After reviewing my history, the specialist doesn't think there is anything to worry about. So, we will keep you all posted. Let's play a little guessing game.....Let's guess the sex of the baby. Alison of course wants a girl, Sam and boy and Natalie, well it depends on the day. Post your guess and let's see who wins. Even though I have been very sick, I have had less throwing up than with the girls....so maybe that means a boy.....

SPRING BREAK

We have had a great week this week. On monday night Colleen (Becky's sister) and Matt (her son) came to visit. The kids stayed up late playing and played all day on tuesday. Good thing she was here, because the battery died on the car and it wouldn't start. Well, it wouldn't start because Alison turned on the light on the inside of the back door of the van and left it for a few days. On wednesday, we spent the day at the zoo with our neighbor's the Parrish's. We both had to get in one last trip before our zoo pass expires. On thursday we made a trip to Salem to the A.C. Gilbert Discovery Village. It was alot of fun, the weather was great and the kids got to run and play all day. The kids locked the van with my purse, keys, wallet, cell phone, everything but them inside. Luckily Merrie was with me again and let me borrow her cell phone to call 24 hr road side assistance. On our way home we stopped in Woodburn at a Tulip Field. I was missing the Tulip Festival and a neighbor let me know of a sign she saw. There is nothing like a never ending field full of blooming tulips. They had this great big bumpy slide. It was made out of PVC pipe, a larger one over a smaller one so they rolled as you went down. It gave me a terrible headache and made every bit of my body vibrate as I went down with Ali on my lap, but the kids loved it. Tomorrow, Friday, we are going to have a nice relaxing day, try to catch up on housework, dishes, and laundry and a little sleep.

Pinewood Derby

Sam had his first Pinwood Derby at cubscouts tonight. It was so much fun to watch the boys, they were so excited but were all great sports. A big thank you to Bro. Stamps, Sam's old primary teacher, for helping Sam and Kent make their cars. He did the painting on his own, ha ha. He won an award for the Most Festive Car.

5 weeks to go

5 Weeks to go til Nate comes home. Needless to say, having him gone for the last six months has thrown a loop in our daily activities. Next week he is coming home for a long weekend (our anniversary, 11 yrs), then one more rotation, ER at Madigan and he will be done. Then the fun begins, job searching. If you know of any Dr. hiring PA's let us know.
